Carpet Maker Consolidates

13/04/2013
Carpet maker Interface Australia has announced an innovative commercial lease at Minto in Sydney’s south-west as a replacement site for its Picton manufacturing facility that burnt down in July 2012. The new 24,000-square-metre building at 34 Airds Road was originally designed for warehouse use but will become one of the greenest manufacturing sites in Australia.

The managing director of Interface Australia, Clinton Squires, said the new facility would consolidate activities previously performed across three sites at Picton and Eastern Creek. CBRE brokered the deal with Altis Property Partners in a $2 million per annum, 15-year lease.
