Interface San Francisco Showroom opens

14/11/2011

Interface recently celebrated the opening of its San Francisco showroom with a lively discussion on “Four Decades of Design” which was followed by a spirited “Whiskey, Women, Dump Trucks, and Design” reception.

John King, urban design critic for the San Francisco Chronicle, moderated the panel of distinguished Bay area architectural experts that included architect William Stout, founder of William Stout Architectural Books and William Stout Publishers; Paolo Polledri, architect, writer, and founding curator of Architecture and Design at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and, Bill Leddy, founding principal, Leddy Maytum Stacy.

Nearly 200 guests gathered for the festivities at the new 457 Pacific Avenue location, where the building’s rich history—first as a saloon and dance hall in the late 19th century. then as the DeMartini truck factory, which manufactured the first dump trucks in the early 20th century—was incorporated into the party theme.
