Ray Anderson launches new book - CONFESSIONS OF A RADICAL INDUSTRIALIST

11/09/2009

Interface Chairman Ray Anderson has transformed his company around one goal: 100% Sustainability. Now he challenges all industry to do the same - Take nothing form the earth that cannot be replaced by the earth.

Some 11 years after his first book “Mid Course Correction,” Ray Anderson has written a new book, “Confessions of a Radical Industrialis,” which is much a “how to” as a "why to" for companies to become more sustainable. Ray debunks the myth that financial success and environmental success are mutually exclusive.

"Can you imagine your factories - plants - running without creating any pollution? I can, because at Interface, we've already shut down one third of our smokestacks and 71% of our wastewater pipes. They've been turned into unused relics, obviated by process changes, by our relentless pursuit of a better way, and by working upstream with our suppliers to rid their products (our raw materials) of the bad actors," Ray Anderson.
