Monash University is committed to leading the way in education for the creation of a sustainable footprint. Such commitment led the university to become the first client to shift 100% of its purchases to InterfaceFLOR's climate neutral carpet under the Cool Carpet program.
The Cool Carpet program, standard with all InterfaceFLOR products since July 2007 is a real “cradle to grave” approach in which greenhouse gas calculations include raw material extraction, manufacture, transport, end of life and even maintenance for the life of the product. The fact that the Cool Carpet program is third party certified has brought extra value, as Monash University has the ability to incorporate the sustainability features of InterfaceFLOR carpet into its various environmental measurements and reporting systems.
