Busy gaming rooms face a wide range of challenges, and designing a suitable flooring is no exception. In order to stay profitable and relevant gaming rooms are regularly updated which often requires the reconfiguration of poker machines. This constant movement can create havoc with the floorplate and is best alleviated by opting for carpet tiles as a flooring solution.

Designer Andrew Ross from Hot Concepts prefers to specify carpet tiles over broadloom in any gaming environment. 'This is due to the ability to easily customise the layout and change the orientation of the space with tile,' says Andrew. This sentiment has been echoed by club owners who are increasingly choosing carpet tiles due to the ease of maintenance and cost savings. Owners don't need to pay for poker machines to be dismantled as they can cut the tile around the base of the machine which saves technician fees and loss of revenue when the machine is out of action.
