Randwick Branch Library has become a home away from home for the local community. The library recently underwent a transformation to provide residents access to the latest technology and resources, and to provide an inviting place to socialise.

According to Cecilia Kugler, Interior Designer/Director of CK Design International, using carpet tile in the Randwick Branch Library was central to the creation of spaces within the vast expanse of the library's square footprint. Carpet tiles can act as signage because of the visual variation they make possible. "Carpet tiles, in particular, provide the most cost effective, flexible palette to create hierarchy between various areas and defining zones".

You often hear about the functional benefits of carpet tiles, but the emotional and psychological advantages are just as appealing for public spaces.
