The Green Designer Scholarship attracted a high calibre of entrants following it’s launch in 2008. Sponsored by GBCA and InterfaceFLOR, design leader in sustainable carpet tiles, candidates were asked to discuss their personal design philosophy for creating green interior spaces. Of these candidates, three winners have been announced: UNSW students Saul Garcia and Lucinda Dryden and University of South Australia student Joshua Billington.

Saul, Lucinda and Joshua will spend a day learning about InterfaceFLOR’s closed loop sustainable carpet floor coverings – which attract 100% Green Star Points under the Green Star Rating Tool for both Floor Material Mat-2 criteria and indoor Environmental Quality criteria for low VOC emissions.

The winners will also sit the GBCA Green Star Accredited Professional course and Advanced Office Interiors course, helping to pave their way into successful interior design careers.

Congratulations to Saul, Lucinda and Joshua.
