Mission Zero

InterfaceFLOR’s Mission Zero™ is simple – it is our pledge to leave zero footprint by the year 2020.

At InterfaceFLOR every creative, manufacturing and building decision we make takes us closer to eliminating the negative impact our company may have on the environment. We have been completely re-imagining and re-designing everything we do to develop production systems that dramatically reduce the burdens placed upon living systems. 

We engineer products that perform longer. We are working to reduce our reliance on petroleum-based raw materials and reducing and offsetting greenhouse gas emissions. We are designing our products to create closed loop manufacturing where the waste from one process becomes the “food” for another. We are reducing energy consumption per unit of product and we are increasingly using renewable energy. And we encourage all organisations to do likewise, becoming restorative through the power of influence.

Progress has been impressive – today, our footprint has been reduced by an estimated 40% since our sustainability journey began in 1994 but we know we still have a lot to do in achieving “Mission Zero”.
